The Extinct Audio ‘Valkyr’ BM9x2 stereo ribbon microphone is mounted behind the conductor about 3m in the air and angled slightly down towards the back row of the orchestra. The microphone is set in M-S configuration providing a full stereo image of the orchestra and the somewhat lively acoustics of the hall. No EQ or processing has been added.
